Marty McFly And 2009

Thursday, January 1st, 2009

I can’t believe it’s taken this long.

I was having a conversation the other day with a friend about the “Back to the Future” movies. My favorite was the second movie, and three was my least favorite.

The one thing everyone remembers from that 1989 movie was the hoverboard.

Honestly those Nike shoes are pretty sweet too, but who didn’t want a hoverboard?

While searching youtube I came across some British show that showed you how to make your own hoverboard!

It only took 20 years, but now you can make you own.

Check it out!

So, it’s not not quite the same as the movie, but that would be really fun anyway.

Just remember they don’t work over water.

Adventureland Movie Trailer!

Sunday, November 23rd, 2008

I know many of you are thinking “What the hell is Adventureland?”

Well it was a movie shot 2 minutes from my house at Kennywood Park.

From the director of Super Bad, with Ryan Reynolds, the girl from “Twilight” (The books are so over rated BTW horrible writing), Jesse Eisenberg

A comedy set in the summer of 1987 and centered around a recent college grad (Eisenberg) who takes a nowhere job at his local amusement park, only to find it’s the perfect course to get him prepared for the real world.

For anyone who has ever worked at an Amusement Park you will love the trailer as it will bring back memories. It did for me. Best line “We are doing the work of pathetic, lazy morons.” Which, when you think about it is really true.

So enjoy the trailer of Adventureland.

Past Plastic Poetic

Monday, August 18th, 2008

So I called and made the appointment. The appointment for what? Well I am attempting to go back to school in January, so I got the ball rolling. September 9th I will go and discuss my options and hopefully get some leads on grants and financial aid. Really me going back depends on the money I can get, so cross our fingers everyone.

Variety reported last week that one of my favorite cartoons is being turned into a movie…VOLTRON!!!!

I just hope, since it’s live action and all, that it sticks close to the story of the cartoon. It had such a good story PLEASE don’t ruin it.

So how was my day at work?

Well I guess it was busy since I didn’t have a chance to read EW, USA Today and Mac Rumors. I usually tear through my daily reading by 11, but I was taking online classes to get certified for a program at work. It was boring. Why was there 39 steps on how to attach a document? I guess you have to make those tutorials for the slowest of people.

MY favorite was the time it should have taken me to go through the module on how to print a report…50 minutes. Yeah I was done in 3. But that’s how I spent my morning.

For lunch we went to PPG and debated for 20 minutes on Fernando’s of Chinese. Chinese won today only because right before me left someone had General Tso’s in the office and we all changed our minds.

After lunch my co-worker left due to illness. Apparently he had a varmitzva in the bathroom.

Exciting I know but that’s life in Pittsburgh.
